Science SEA
Discover a learning experience unlike any other! Science SEA is Emerald Coast SCUBA's signature marine science and scuba education program designed for students ages 12–17 who are passionate about the ocean, adventure, and hands-on learning.
This multi-week academy blends classroom instruction, pool training, open water diving, and marine science exploration to provide students with real-world experiences that go far beyond traditional education. Through interactive lessons, conservation projects, guest speakers, and scuba training, students develop confidence, leadership skills, environmental awareness, and a lifelong appreciation for our oceans.
Students work toward internationally recognized PADI certifications while exploring topics such as marine ecology, underwater navigation, conservation, fish identification, buoyancy control, emergency preparedness, and rescue skills. Throughout the program, they gain practical experience through pool sessions, open water dives, beach cleanups, and educational presentations from industry professionals.
Science SEA is an excellent option for homeschool families and students seeking educational enrichment. College credit is available for most PADI courses, and many families may be eligible for reimbursement through approved state scholarship programs.
Whether your student dreams of becoming a marine biologist, professional diver, underwater photographer, or simply wants to build confidence through adventure, Science SEA provides an exciting pathway to explore new interests while earning valuable certifications.
