Our 6-day IDC is scheduled immediately before the 2-day PADI Instructor Examination (IE) so you can move directly from training into evaluation without losing momentum.

6-9 Day Time Commitment

EFRI is completed in 1 day on Friday, followed by the 6-day IDC running Saturday through Friday, and then the 2-day IE on Saturday and Sunday. This back-to-back schedule keeps everything streamlined so you move directly from emergency instructor training into full instructor development and straight into the exam while everything is fresh and you’re fully prepared.

MSDT Prep

Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) Prep: $1,395

We offer MSDT Prep either before or after IDC, depending on the season.

MSDT Prep allows you to earn five Specialty Instructor ratings so you can immediately position yourself as a well-rounded, highly marketable instructor.

If employability is your goal, MSDT gives you a serious edge right out of the gate.

Prerequisites

To enroll in IDC:

  • Certified Divemaster

  • 18 years old

  • EFRI (Emergency First Responder Instructor)

  • 60 logged dives to begin IDC

  • 100 logged dives to attend IE

  • CPR & First Aid within 24 months

  • Medical clearance within 12 months

If you completed your Divemaster internship with us, you’ll already have the confidence and foundation to excel in IDC.
