The SS United States represents an incredible piece of American maritime history and an exciting new chapter for the diving community. Once the fastest ocean liner in the world, this historic 990-foot vessel is being given a second life as an artificial reef off the coast of Destin-Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Its transformation will create an extraordinary underwater destination for recreational divers, technical divers, underwater photographers, and marine enthusiasts while providing valuable habitat for marine life. Beyond its environmental benefits, the project has the potential to attract divers from around the world, support local dive shops and charter operators, and strengthen the Gulf Coast's reputation as a premier wreck-diving destination. Emerald Coast Scuba offers rental dive gear and tanks for divers who need them.
All rental equipment and tanks are available for an additional charge and are NOT included in the $295 charter price.
You are also welcome to bring your own equipment and tanks.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
You do not have to be a customer of Emerald Coast Scuba to join us. We welcome individual divers, buddy teams, dive clubs, and divers from dive shops across the country.
