Swim Class Levels
We offer five swim class levels designed for all ages and skill development stages:
Parent & Tots
Water introduction for infants and toddlers with a parent in the water. Focus is on comfort, water safety basics, bonding, and fun.
Beginners
For swimmers learning foundational skills such as floating, breath control, safe entry and exit, and basic independence in the water.
Advanced Beginners
For swimmers who are comfortable and confident in the water. These swimmers can move independently and are ready to refine skills, build endurance, and strengthen technique before moving into formal stroke work.
Stroke Development
For swimmers ready to begin and refine formal swim strokes, including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and sidestroke. Focus is on proper technique, body position, coordination, and efficiency in each stroke.
Spec Ops
A specialized, more private program designed for children on the autism spectrum. This class provides individualized instruction in a quieter, low-distraction environment, with a strong focus on water comfort, safety skills, and building confidence at each swimmer’s own pace.

ARRIVAL
To help classes run smoothly and start on time, we ask that all swimmers arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled class time. This allows time for check-in, changing, bathroom breaks, and getting settled before entering the water.
PARENT VIEWING POLICY
For the safety, focus, and organization of our swim lessons, parents are not permitted on the swim deck during class time. This allows instructors to maintain a controlled learning environment with minimal distractions.
We do provide a large, elevated viewing deck upstairs specifically for parents and families. This area offers a clear, comfortable view of all swim lessons so you can watch your child’s progress while remaining safely out of the lesson space.
MAKE-UPS
• POLICY: We do not offer make-up lessons unless a lesson is cancelled by swim staff due to weather or another scheduling conflict.
SUNSCREEN
• POLICY: Sunscreen should be applied at least 30 minutes prior to lessons. No sunscreen application should be allowed on deck. At that point it is too late to be effective and can clog the pool filters.
GOGGLES
• POLICY: Swimmers are not permitted to wear goggles unless they are enrolled in the Stroke Development class or have a doctor’s note. Goggles may be purchased in the Dive Shop if needed. Please come early if you need them. The purpose of not allowing goggles is to help students become comfortable with water on their face and in their eyes while developing water safety skills. Exceptions should only apply to Stroke Development students or swimmers with a doctor’s note.
SWIM DIAPERS
• POLICY: Two (2) layers of swim diapers are required for every student who has not been potty trained for at least six months. This is critical to the health of the pool. No exceptions. The outer layer must be a washable/reusable swim diaper. The bottom layer may be disposable, but parents should understand that disposable swim diapers do not fully contain accidents. Reusable swim diapers are available in the Dive Shop.
WEATHER
• POLICY: If swim lessons are cancelled due to inclement weather or another scheduling conflict, notifications will be sent through a text message from the Head Coach. Please do not call the Dive Shop. If you do not receive a text message, lessons are still scheduled to take place. We will make every effort not to cancel lessons and will prioritize safety for all students and staff.
